But I use the halls most-they’re deep, lush and nuanced, great for vocals in sparse arrangements. LX480 Essentials: Similar in character to R4, but way simpler to use, and I really like some of the algorithms. Sometimes I’ll try this first and move to R4 if it needs deeper tweaking. Nimbus: Has the natural character of Altiverb halls & rooms but with the tweakability of R4. Good when I want an organic, subtle sound that I can sculpt precisely. Seventh Heaven: I mostly use the chambers, which have a nice open, hifi character. A couple of the halls are also good when I want sort of an “enhanced natural” sound, similar to Nimbus but a bit more assertive. SP2016: This is kind of the anti-Seventh Heaven its best sounds are dark and just a bit lowfi. I like the stereo rooms for more “alt” kinds of music, and the short plates for rock drums.
